Family of Mufti Ebrahim Desai (Rahimahullah)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

It brings us great joy and happiness to know of the launch of Darul Iftaa Ebrahimiyyah in Leicester, UK under Mufti Faraz Adam Sahib. The Darul Iftaa Ebrahimiyyah is named after Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib (Rahimahullah). It was the last wish and desire of Mufti Sahib (Rahimahullah) for every student of his to continue the very important and contemporary need of the time which is the field of Fatawa. Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib (Rahimahullah) had love for every student of his and had confidence and trust in all of their abilities.

Mufti Faraz Sahib has fulfilled the Haqq of Muhabbat towards his beloved Ustaadh, Mufti Ebrahim Desai (Rahimahullah) by continuing his legacy. Indeed, Mufti Sahibs investments are paying off through his students continuation in serving the Ummah through the field of Fatawa and Islamic Finance.

Mufti Faraz Adam (Hafidhahullah) studied the Iftaa course under Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib and remained under his academic and spiritual tutelage for over a decade. Allah Ta’ala has blessed Mufti Faraz Sahib with amazing and brilliant capabilities in the field of Fatawa and Islamic Finance.

I am extremely happy to see the opening of this Darul Iftaa. It is also a manifestation of a dream I had of Mufti Sahib (Rahimahullah) wherein he indicated that his Darul Iftaa will be moving from Durban, South Africa to Leicester, UK.

It is my heartfelt Dua that Allah Ta’ala accepts the noble efforts of Mufti Faraz Adam (Hafidhahullah) and crown this beloved institute with Qubuliyyah and make it a means of propagating Deen to the entire World and be a means of endless Sadaqah Jariyah for Mufti Faraz Sahib and his beloved Ustadh Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib (Rahimahullah).

May Allah Ta’ala enable Mufti Faraz Sahib and his team to carry forth this blessed legacy and grant them the Taufeeq to inculcate within them the salient qualities of their beloved Ustadh (Rahimahullah). Aameen.

I pray to Allah that He – through his infinite mercy and grace – accepts the efforts of Mufti Faraz sahib in taking this ambitious step of establishing a Darul Iftaa to train Ulama in Iftaa. There was a need for a dedicated institution for Fiqh and Iftaa in the UK.

The Darul Iftaa Ebrahimiyyah Insha Allah will help Ulama to understand the modern needs of the ummah and give guidance in accordance to the principles of the Fuqaha and the Salaf.

The Darul Iftaa Ebrahimiyyah is named after the Great Aalim and jurist Hadhrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib Rahmatullah Alayh. May Allah make it a Sadaqah jariyah for Hadhrat.

May Allah give sincerity and acceptance to all the Ulama working on this project and make it the means for good in this world and the Hereafter. Ameen

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

It brings us great joy and happiness to see the establishment of the Darul Iftaa Ebrahimiyyah in Leicester, UK, which takes its inspiration and guidance from Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah, Sherwood, South Africa and more specifically, our beloved Ustadh Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib Rahimahullah.

It gives me immense pleasure to see my student Mufti Faraz Sahib Hafidhahullāh take this step in following the footsteps of his Shaykh; Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Sahib Rahimahullah by offering a full two year Iftaa course which aims to create specialized Muftis through the lenses of our illustrious Fuqaha and Akaabir Rahimahumullah.

May Allah Ta’ala grant sincerity and accept the efforts and intentions of Mufti Faraz Sahib (who is also the Khalifa of Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib Rahimahullah) and make the Darul Iftaa Ebrahimiyyah a means of Hidayat for the entire world and a Sadaqah Jariyah for Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib Rahimahullah. Aameen
